Terms and Conditions of Service
Introduction
These Terms of Service govern your use of Aether Panel. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you may not access the service.
Aether Panel is an open source project that operates under principles different from other panels on the market. These terms reflect our philosophy of being a truly free panel that listens to the community and does not monetize basic features.
By using Aether Panel, you acknowledge that it is open source software provided "as is" without commercial warranties. We do not offer commercial technical support or paid services, because we believe that open source software should not require payments.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Aether Panel, you agree to:

Especially important: If you contribute to the project (code, ideas, reports), you must do so in good faith and with the understanding that Aether Panel is a community open source project, not a commercial platform to sell extensions or premium features.
Open Source Nature
Aether Panel is open source software distributed under its corresponding license. By using Aether Panel, you acknowledge and accept:
The software is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not offer commercial technical support nor guarantee that the software will work without errors.
Unlike other open source panels that sell extensions or premium features (like Pterodactyl with Blueprint), Aether Panel is completely free. All features are available to all users without exceptions.
Development decisions are based on community needs, not commercial interests. We don't develop extensions to sell them - we develop features that the community needs.
We do not implement special paid features in a panel that is promoted as open source. Aether Panel is and always will be completely free.
This philosophy is fundamental to Aether Panel. If you do not agree with these principles, this is not the right panel for you.
Contributions to the Project
We appreciate contributions to Aether Panel, but there are important rules:
By contributing code, you agree that your contribution will be licensed under the same license as the main project. You cannot contribute code with the intention of monetizing it later.
Ideas and suggestions you share may be implemented by the project. You cannot claim exclusive ownership of ideas shared publicly.
Error reports help improve the panel. By reporting errors, you provide information voluntarily for the benefit of the community.
You can use Aether Panel commercially (for example, to manage client servers), but you cannot sell the panel itself or panel features as if they were yours.
The idea is to make a panel different from what's on the market: one that listens to the community, not one that develops extensions to sell them like many panels such as Pterodactyl and the Blueprint implementation that sells special features in an open source panel with paid characteristics.
Intellectual Property
Aether Panel and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws:
Aether Panel, its source code, documentation, and content are property of their respective authors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
The code is available under an open source license that allows use, modification and distribution according to the terms of that license.
The trademarks, logos and names of Aether Panel are property of their respective owners. You cannot use these without explicit permission.
You retain rights over content you create using Aether Panel (such as server configurations, files, etc.). However, if you share content publicly with the project, it may be used to improve the panel.
Limitation of Liability
Aether Panel is open source software provided without warranties:
- We do not guarantee that the software will work without errors or interruptions
- We are not responsible for data loss, revenue, or indirect damages
- We do not offer commercial technical support or availability guarantees
- Use of the software is at your own risk
- We are not responsible for how you use the software or the consequences of its use
This limitation of liability is standard for open source software and reflects that Aether Panel is a community project, not a commercial product with guaranteed support.
Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account and your ability to contribute to the panel immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including, among others:
- If you breach these Terms of Service
- If you use the service illegally or unauthorized
- If you attempt to damage or compromise the project or community
- If you attempt to monetize panel features in a way that violates our principles
- If you participate in activities that go against the project's open source philosophy
Upon termination, your right to use the service and contribute to the panel will immediately cease.
Contribution to the panel ends when you violate these principles because the idea is to make a panel different from what's on the market: listen to the community, not develop extensions to sell them like many panels such as Pterodactyl and the Blueprint implementation that sells special features in an open source panel with paid characteristics.
If your account is terminated, you may lose access to:
- Your account in the panel (if it is an installation managed by us)
- Your ability to contribute code to the project

Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. When we make significant changes:
- We will publish a notification on our Discord
- We will update the "Last updated" date on this page
- We will notify you if the changes significantly affect your rights or responsibilities
Continued use of the service after the changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you must stop using the service.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws in the jurisdiction where the project operates. Any dispute related to these terms will be resolved according to those laws.
