Aether Panel was created with a philosophy different from other panels on the market:

Unlike other panels that promise to be open source but then sell essential features (like Pterodactyl with Blueprint), Aether Panel will never ask you to pay for features that should be free.

Data We Collect
Aether Panel collects data to operate effectively and provide you with the best experiences with our community. **You are the one who decides what data to provide** - we never collect information without your explicit consent.
The data we collect is divided into the following categories:
If you decide to participate in our community through Discord or the website:
- Discord username (if you join our server)
- Discord avatar (if you decide to share it)
- Email (only if you create an account in the panel - this is stored locally in your installation)
This information is completely optional. You can use Aether Panel without providing any personal data.
When you decide to contribute to the project:
- Error reports you voluntarily submit
- Ideas and suggestions you share
- Votes on feature proposals (if you participate in voting on the website)
- Code you contribute (if you decide to do so)
All this information is provided voluntarily. We do not track your use of the panel without your knowledge.
If you request help or report a problem:
- Configuration files you voluntarily share
- Server logs you provide for diagnosis
- System information you decide to share
This data is only used to help you resolve problems. It is never shared with third parties.
For basic panel operation:
- IP addresses (stored locally in your installation, not sent to us)
- Session timestamps (only on your server)
- Panel configuration (stored locally)
All this data remains on your server. We do not have access to it.
**Important**: If you install Aether Panel on your own server, all data is stored locally. We do not have access to your installation or the data it contains.
How We Use Your Data
We use the data we collect only for the following purposes:
Error reports and suggestions help us identify problems and develop new features that the community really needs.
If you join our Discord or participate on the website, we use your Discord information to facilitate communication and recognize your contributions.
Minimum technical data is used to maintain panel security and prevent abuse.
If you participate in feature voting, your votes are used to determine which features to develop. This information is aggregated and anonymous.

Data Storage
We understand the importance of where and how your data is stored:
If you install Aether Panel on your own server:
- All data is stored on your server
- We do not have access to your installation
- You have full control over your data
- You can make backups and manage your data as you prefer
We keep data only as long as necessary:
- Account data: While your account is active
- Error reports: Until the problem is resolved
- Code contributions: Permanently (as part of the open source project)
- You can request deletion at any time
Your Rights
You have full rights over your personal data. At Aether Panel we respect and facilitate the exercise of these rights:
You can request a copy of all personal data we have about you.
You can correct any incorrect or incomplete information.
You can request that we delete your personal data at any time.
You can export your data in a standard format.

**Important about Support**: Remember that Aether Panel is an open source project. We do not offer commercial technical support or guarantees. The community and documentation are available to help you, but we don't charge for support because we believe open source software should not require payments. Protect your privacy and your wallet - you shouldn't have to pay for software that is supposedly free.
Third Parties and External Services
Aether Panel can integrate with external services. Here's how we handle this:
If you join our Discord server, you are subject to Discord's privacy policy. We only use the information that Discord makes public (username, avatar) to facilitate communication in the community.
If you contribute code, your contributions are public on GitHub according to the project license. This is standard for open source projects.
If you use hosting services for your panel installation, those services have their own privacy policies. Aether Panel does not control nor is responsible for those policies.
We do not share your data with third parties for marketing, advertising or any other commercial purpose.
Children's Privacy
Aether Panel is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not intentionally collect information from minors. If we discover that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it immediately.
